Our Projects
Khazeen Storage tanks expansion project at Riyadh station
Khazeen Company seeks to achieve its ambitions through its ambitious project to expand the storage capacity at the Riyadh station. This project aims to increase the storage capacity from 4 million liters to 40 million liters by adding nine strategic tanks. The project began in 2020 and was completed on June 1, 2024. The tanks were manufactured at the Zamil plant in the Eastern Province. The project consists of two main phases.
First Phase
It included the construction of five buried tanks, in addition to a pump and compressor room and a pipeline network for the project. This phase was completed on May 23.
Second Phase
The project included the construction of four buried tanks, the fabrication of which has been completed and the site prepared for their reception. The tanks are 63 meters long and 9.5 meters in diameter, with each tank weighing 900 tons and a capacity of 4 million liters. With the completion of this project, Khazeen now owns the largest gas storage tank in the Middle East, enhancing its ability to ensure a secure and uninterrupted gas supply to all regions of the Kingdom.
